Bad Piggies Take Flight In New Gameplay Trailer

Bad Piggies has already earned my interest. Rovio shining the spotlight on the underutilized enemies of the Angry Birds franchise could lead to a fun game. We were told not to expect Angry Birds, but with pigs. Beyond that, we didn’t really know what to expect until now.

Thanks to a new trailer, we now know that Bad Piggies will have more in common with Rovio’s other game franchise – Amazing Alex. The game will task players to build various vehicular contraptions that the pigs will pilot towards their prized eggs. Check out the first gameplay video below:

Some players are already comparing it to Rare’s Xbox 360 title Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. While the game had its fans, many were turned off by its betrayal of core Banjo-Kazooie gameplay elements. Thankfully, Bad Piggies is a new franchise that’s not held down by lofty expectations. In reality, it looks like a lot of fun. It injects some much needed complexity that Rovio’s games have so far lacked.

It seems that Rovio is committed as ever to turning each of their games into a franchise. Rovio’s EVP of Games, Petri Järvilehto, told Yahoo Games that Bad Piggies will be getting lots of love in the coming years. I guess we can expect to see Bad Piggies Seasons and the inevitable Bad Piggies Space then. Now we just need a pig-focused animated feature film to tie Bad Piggies into.

Bad Piggies Ready Revenge on Game Rovio Newest, Rovio third game in the year 2012 has been officially released. Rovio, the game pembesut behind Angry Birds game anyarnya say that this is very different from the previous games.

This game is still bringing the birds angry. However, instead of acting as Angry Birds, now the players are required to play the character of green pigs aka Green Pig.

Because it says different, this game called Bad Piggies will not display slingshot that is very familiar to lovers of Angry Birds. "We are having fun in playing games to create an experience that is completely new and unique," said Petri Jarvilehto, EVP Games at Rovio said in a statement.

To lure curious, Rovio has released a promotional video. The video shows the bird is under attack from the green pigs where as if drawn down from the sky.

Bad Piggies Rovio is the third game this year, after Angry Birds Space and Amazing Alex. For those who can not wait to play it, you have to be patient until the 27th of September, so as quoted from the LATimes, Wednesday (05/09/2012).

Bad Piggies Gameplay

Rovio has revealed the first gameplay details for Bad Piggies, the new Angry Birds spinoff coming next week. In Bad Piggies, you’ll be playing as the pigs, and the slingshot mechanic of Angry Birds doesn’t return. Instead, players will use a grid-based building system to create vehicles for the pigs, which can then be moved around the environment. Vehicles range from flying machines to cars, and players will follow the same scoring mechanic as Angry Birds, aiming to earn the highest score to get three stars in each level.

Players will drag and drop vehicle parts in a “blueprint” mode as they create their ride in a mechanic that seems reminiscent of Rare’s Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.

"As far as the gameplay goes, Bad Piggies and Angry Birds are complete opposites," Rovio executive vice president of games Petri Järvilehto told Yahoo Games. "Angry Birds smash things up, Bad Piggies build stuff. The pigs are all about making plans and building things, even -- and especially -- when they don't work!"
